Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Pflugerville, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Electric shown on Sheets 33-37 will be provided by others. The contractor shall coordinate with the City of Early installation of underground conduits before the flex base is placed. Stained and stamped concrete shall be included in areas shown on the plan. The stamp shall be Ashler Cut Slate, without wood grain. The color shall be "Increte Systems Color-Crete 'Cordova' #CC 200/4". A sample of the color and stamp shall be provided prior to pouring the finished work. Changes to the parking area are depicted on each page. Please refer to sheets 7 & 8 for more information. Changes include adding a concrete flume across the nose of the islands and not installing the parking spaces, curb/gutter, and sidewalk. The Headwall on the outfall of the 8x4 RCB is by others. See note on sheet 25. Disposal of surplus materials is the responsibility of the contractor. Dirt spoilage can be stockpiled on site, see Larry McConn for locations of spoil piles. The contractor must seek approval for staging areas or material stockpiles on City property. Contact Larry McConn at 325-643-5451 for more information. No trees may be removed or trimmed without prior approval from the City. The contractor must maintain grade control to ensure positive drainage at all times. Conformance to TxDOT Item 320 (Equipment for Asphalt Concrete Paving) and Item 210 (Rolling) is required. Set signage and barricades as shown in the Traffic Control Layouts. Contact Texas811 to mark utility locations. Contact the City of Early for possible additional features. Install Storm water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) devices according to the plan (Sheet 30). Proceed with construction, including sidewalks, drainage, and other associated features. Clean the site and remove SWPPP devices upon project completion. Concrete removal, if needed, shall include neat saw-cut adjacent to existing structures, drives, sidewalks, and other locations as directed by the Engineer. The City will provide and install utilities once rough grading is complete. The City will provide rip-rap, topsoil, flex base, hot mix asphalt, tack oil, and transportation for each item to the site. The City will also install water meters, valve boxes, and/or sewer cleanouts within the project area. The contractor must notify the City at least 5 days in advance of when adjustments are needed. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids, as authorized by Section 252.043(f) of the Texas Local Government Code. The bid bond must be in the amount of 5% of the total bid. Certified checks will be returned to all bidders except the three lowest within three (3) days after the opening of bids. The contractor will be required to provide bid and performance bonds as specified in Section 252.044 of the Texas Local Government Code and Chapter 2253 of the Texas Government Code. Bid bond is due at the time of bid submission. Please use the form in this RFP for submitting the bid bond. Performance bond is due at contract signing. The Surety Company will provide a submission form for the performance bond. The Contract will consist of all bidding documents, surety bonds, construction documents, and addendums (if any) issued during the bidding process.
