The City of Darien Municipal Services Department is requesting bids for the 2025 Street Sweeping Services. The contract shall call out for 2 additional contract extensions for 2026 and 2027. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the bid without the consent of the City for a period of one hundred fifty (150) days after the scheduled time of opening and reading bids. The Mayor and City Council reserve the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof and to waive any informalities, technicalities and irregularities in bidding and to disregard all nonconforming or conditional bids. The successful bidder shall be required to comply with the provisions of all State of Illinois and federal laws concerning public works projects as well as the State of Illinois Human Rights Act and the regulations of the Illinois Human Rights Commission. The maintenance period shall begin May 1, 2025 through April 30, 2026. Two optional contract extensions for the periods of May 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027 and May 1, 2027 through April 30, 2028 will be considered.
