Parking Lot - Alt 3 These items of work shall be performed as directed by the ENGINEER in conformance with applicable provisions of Sections 353, 406, 602 and 603 of the "Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction". This work shall be completed in accordance with the detail on the Plans, and shall include the following: Stage I (Before Pavement Milling) A. Remove a minimum of 12" of the pavement from around the structure. B. Remove the existing frame and lid from the structure. C. Cover the structure opening with a 36" diameter metal plate. D. Backfill with crushed stone and a minimum 1 1/2 " thick bituminous material approved by the ENGINEER. Stage II (After Pavement Milling/Leveling Binder) A. Remove the bituminous material and crushed stone. B. Install the frame and lid; adjust the frame to its final surface elevation. C. The surrounding space shall be filled with Class SI concrete to the elevation of the surface of the existing base course. Additionally, this work shall include the removal of any debris, which has accumulated in the structure. Also, any mortar repairs, which need to be made around existing sewer pipes shall be included. This work includes the installation of the speed hump as shown in the detail at the location shown in the detail.
