Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Castle Rock, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Reference Number 0000371281 Job Location: 4175 Castleton Court Castle Rock, Colorado United States 80109 The work to be performed under this contract includes removal and replacement of existing concrete including concrete pavement, crosspan, sidewalk, curb and gutter, curb ramps, various depths of asphalt patching, milling of existing asphalt pavement, and asphalt paving within the streets listed in the Appendices or as directed by the Project Manager. The Contractor shall supply all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the work in accordance with these specifications. Contractor will be required to coordinate construction activities with adjacent businesses, trash removal companies, school district, HOA, Metro Districts, and other Town maintenance projects if applicable. If "Construction Completion" is not issued within the allotted contract time for the original scope of work, "Liquidated Damages" shall be assessed. When contract work is complete, the contractor shall commence work on punchlist items, cleanup, and demobilizing regardless of contract time remaining. Work is anticipated to start by March 31, 2025, or when weather is favorable. A schedule of sequencing of all work shall be submitted at or before the project pre-construction meeting, and approved by the Town prior to issuance of Notice to Proceed. Completion of Work: The contractor shall commence work no later than the date indicated on the Notice to Proceed, and achieve Construction Completion (punchlist items, cleanup, and demobilize) within One Hundred Twenty (120) working days. Location of the Work: The location of the work to be completed under this contract is tabulated in Appendices. The Town reserves the right to revise the location of the work shown in Appendices, and the final location of the work shall be established in the field by the Project Manager. The Project Manager will provide the Contractor with the location, type, and quantity of work to be performed on an authorized Work Identification Form. Buyer Preferences, Guidelines & Requirements General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Insurance Required A Bid Guarantee in an amount equal to 5% of the total Bid amount is required at the time of the Bid Opening. The Guarantee must be a Bid Bond executed by the Bidder. The successful Bidder shall provide the Town with a Certificate of Insurance naming the Town of Castle Rock as an additional insured for all policies required in the General and Special Conditions, and with proof of Workers' Compensation coverage. If awarded the Bid, a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond are required within ten (10) days of receipt of the written Notice of Award, each for the total amount of the Contract Price. No Bidder may withdraw a Bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date fixed for opening the Bids. The Town of Castle Rock reserves the right to cancel this Invitation to Bid; reject any Bid, in whole or in part; to adjust the quantity of Work to be done as mandated by budgetary requirements; and to waive informalities or irregularities in the Bids received; when it is in the Town's best interest to do so.
