The asphalt road top will be 20 feet wide with two feet wide reground asphalt shoulders on both sides of the newly laid asphalt. 6. The gravel mat will be 24 feet wide. 7. The existing roadway shall be pulverized, which consists of constructing base coarse utilizing in place pulverizing and relaying of material. The existing asphalt surface shall be pulverized full depth, and to a minimum of 97% passing through a 2" screen. The relaid material shall be compacted, watered, and relaid to meet DOT specs. 8. A hot mix asphalt mat 20 feet wide will then be placed over the final graded aggregate mat. There will be two layers placed. The first layer will be a 2 inch binder coarse. The binder coarse will be paver laid sufficiently crowned in the center. About 1515 tons of hot mix asphalt will be supplied, placed, and compacted over the previously laid aggregate mat. 9. A second final hot mix asphalt mat will be laid over the binder coat. The second final coat will be 2 inches thick, paver laid. About 1515 tons of hot mix asphalt will be supplied, placed, and compacted over the binder coarse. 10. Reground asphalt shoulders will then be placed next to the previously laid asphalt road. 2 foot shoulders on both sides will be placed. Approximately 600 ton will be used supplying, placing, and compacting the shoulders conforming to WisDOT specs for gravel shoulders
