Renovation of a recreation facility in Pueblo, Colorado. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a recreation facility.
Creative Arts Code, ADA, and HVAC Upgrades Anticipated Construction Services - Start - Finish 09/08/2026 - 6/13/2027 The Department of Agriculture - Colorado State Fair has determined that upgrades are necessary to the proper function and safety of the Creative Arts building located near the center of the Fairgrounds at 1001 Beulah Ave, Pueblo, CO 81004. The building is approximately 16,740 sf, with 11,716 sf of usable space. It has a wood dance floor and builtin stage, and is used for large events such as weddings, receptions, small trade shows, art exhibitions and ceremonies. This building was constructed in 1921 and is on the Historical Building Registry. See Appendix D for additional information. The project's intent is to install fire suppression, replace the roof, and install an adequate HVAC system with proper ductwork and controls. In addition to those items, doors and entrances will be retrofitted to maintain energy efficiency and meet ADA accessibility requirements. Additional work to repair foundation and concrete issues and remove wood flooring to remedy trip hazards will also be required.
