Demolition and site work for a military facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a military facility; and for site work for a military facility.
The scope of work involves: demolish the entirety of the existing canopy structure above the tops of existing columns, including but not limited to, the existing steel space frame, existing steel deck, existing roofing, existing fascia, and existing utilities. Several existing truss members near the existing northwesternmost column are compromised, placing the existing steel space truss at risk of collapse at this location. The existing space truss exhibits an average of between 40% and 60% section loss of the members at the bottom chord connections throughout the entirety of the existing structure. Site Visit: Date and Time: Monday, 30 December 2024, 10:00 AM EDT Location: Building 380, Dam Neck Annex, Virginia Beach, Virginia Badging: Contractor personnel that do not have DBIDS access for Naval Air Station Oceana or Dam Neck Annex, must follow and adhere to the instructions contained within Attachments H, I, and J, ensuring enough time for processing, prior to the site visit date. Attachments H, I, and J are provided. If you are registered with DBIDS or after obtaining your one-day visitors pass in accordance with Attachments H, I, and J, all participating contractors shall proceed to the DEVGRU Pass/ID Office for sign-in at 10:00 AM EDT. Please note, this requirement is on a secure area on the Dam Neck Base. NAICS Code: 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction Time for completion: Contract completion date is 90 calendar days. The days are calculated from date of task order award, which includes the initial 15 days allowed for distribution of the task order award, submission and approval of insurance, bonding and other requirements set forth in the task order/MACC. Task order award is considered notice to proceed. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
