Shingle Replacement for Newman Center, Trojan Dining Hall, Patterson Hall, and University Park This project includes but is notlimited to the following: The replacement of the shingles atNewman Center, Trojan DiningHall, Patterson Hall, and University Park, on Troy University'sTroy, AL Campus. The Owner intends to award asingle contract to a single contractor. The Owner will acceptproposals only from pre-qualified firms which demonstratetheir experience and ability toperform the work necessary forthis Project. Interested GeneralContractors must submit a Contractor's Qualification Statementshowing minimum qualificationsto be certified by prospectivebidders to include but not limited to: 1) statutory licensure requirements, 2) proof, in the formof a letter from a licensed bonding agent, of current bondingcapacity in excess of Four Hundred Thousand dollars, 3) minimum of 5 years in operation asa General Contractor under thesame company name 4) minimum annual volume of 1 milliondollars in construction value foreach of the past three years andat least three (3) constructionprojects of a similar size andscope to this project completedduring the last twenty-four (24)months and 5) Submit all prequalified information required tothe Physical Plant office beforethe bid opening. The Owner reserves theright to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errorsif, in the Owner's judgment, thebest interests of the Owner willthereby be promoted. A certified check or Bid Bondpayable to Troy University in anamount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of thebid, but in no event more than$10,000.00 must accompanythe bidder's proposal. Biddersmust submit with the proposal aletter from an Insurance Carrierapproved by the State of Alabama as evidence of insurability. Performance Bond valuedat 100% of the contract amountand Payment Bond valued at50% of the contract amount willbe required at the signing of theContract.
