This Request for Proposal (RFP) and Specifications are intended to describe the work required for the replacement of the air handler and associated condenser (AC-1) located in the Rehabilitation building of Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre 547 Glenridge Ave, St. Catharines, Ontario Canada. The project scope will also include the installation of an access door into the exterior wall of the mechanical room where AC-1 is located. The new access door will provide access to the roof of the Rehab section of the hospital. - Provide complete administrative duties to schedule, install, and coordinate all aspects of the work required to provide a complete system including coordination with other sub-contracts and the Owner's forces. - All demolition work required for the installation of the replacement of the AC-1 air handling unit and its associated condenser included in this contract. - Receive, offload, store, protect and install equipment described in these specifications. All equipment is to be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions. - Provide complete operational system as described in these specifications and as indicated on the drawings. - Provide all required materials, equipment, labour and tools required to provide a complete system. This includes all concrete and steel work, conduits, roof seals, flashing, supports, and structural components included in this contract. - Ensure all finishes are completed in accordance with Shaver's specifications and all work, laydown and preparation areas are cleaned and left in the same state as prior to the projects commencement. - Notation to be aware of: The total area of anticipated work has been abated for asbestos in all piping and elbows. - Contractor is responsible for the abatement of vermiculite in the block wall the new door to be installed.
