Project Location: Pleasant Hill Road, County of Morris, State of New Jersey The Work shall consist of but not be limited to the following: 1. Prestressed Concrete Cylinder Pipe (PCCP) Water Main Retirement 2. Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP) and Appurtenance Installation and Replacement 3. Existing Infrastructure Abandonment 4. Hydrant Installation and Replacements 5. Water Service Transfers and Relocations 6. Surface Restorations 7. Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Measures This project includes the installation of approximately 2,475 LF of proposed ductile iron water mains, and retirement of existing 24-inch Prestressed Concrete Cylinder Pipe (PCCP) along Pleasant Hill Road between Selma Boulevard and approximately 250' east of Mel Drive in Randolph Township. The scope of work includes various improvements of water mains through the construction of new 12-inch Ductile Iron Pipe Class 52 Potable Water Mains along with fittings, service connections and components. This new water main system shall connect to the existing Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority (MCMUA) infrastructure within Randolph Township. As part of the project, the Contractor must perform a tie-in connection to the existing 24-inch PCCP pipe utilizing the necessary adaptors to make the watertight connection. The project includes retirement of approximately 2,475 LF of 24-inch PCCP and DIP mains. The bidders shall provide all material and labor necessary to perform the installation as per the construction documents and specifications. Site work scope includes various traffic control devices, soil erosion and sediment control measures, excavation, restoration of asphalt pavement, various driveway restorations, curb restoration, and landscape restorations. The Contract will allow 120 calendar days for completion of the work from the notice to proceed. Bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid security, by way of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, but not in excess of twenty thousand ($20,000) dollars, made payable to the Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority ("MCMUA") Any questions concerning the Bid Documents should be submitted through the Question and Answer feature for the project at online.
