Sealed Bids will be received by the United City of Yorkville, Illinois (Owner), for the 2025 Water Main Replacement. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of The United City of Yorkville negotiable U.S. Government bond (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. The scope of work consists of approximately 8,900 feet of 8-inch ductile iron water main, all related appurtenances, curb and gutter removal and replacement, sidewalk removal and replacement, roadway resurfacing, and all other appurtenant work and materials necessary to complete the project as set forth in the Bid Documents. The procurement will be subject to regulations contained in the Procedures for Issuing Loans from the Public Water Supply Loan Program (35IAC Part 662), the Davis-Bacon Act (40 USC 276a through 276a-5) as defined by the United States Department of Labor, the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act (30 ILCS 570), Illinois Works Jobs Program Act (30 ILCS 559/20-1), and the "Use of American Iron and Steel" requirements as contained in Section 436 of H.R. 3547, the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2014. Proposals withdrawn may not be resubmitted at the same letting. Each bidder shall satisfy the City as to their ability, financially or otherwise, to carry out the work. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive technicalities and any informality in any bid. Bids may be held by the United City of Yorkville for a period not to exceed 150 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
