Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to prequalify experienced subcontractors capable of completing portions of the Work with an expected aggregate contract value greater than $200,000 and $75,000 for material only supply for The Stephen Ave Project. As Calgary’s historic and iconic main street, Stephen Avenue / 8th Avenue is an important space for the public life in Calgary’s Downtown. The Avenue is directly connected to major arts, culture and civic venues, office towers, retail, dining establishments and downtown residential neighbourhoods, and serves as a primary destination for entertainment, tourism, business, and place for everyday life. Bold, innovative, and visionary, the Avenue is reimagined as an exemplary, forward-looking streetscape that links Calgary’s walkable urban core, downtown destinations, and diverse neighbourhoods through a first-class public realm. The Avenue will catalyse change for the historic urban core as a strengthened downtown neighbourhood, providing key amenities for residents, visitors, and businesses.
