Scope of Work: The scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following: Removal of existing deteriorated cementitious layer with topcoat for a portion of the inside wall and for the entire floor of Digester #1 at the Proctors Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. Repair of the concrete wall and floor as required after the coating is removed and the recoating of the concrete wall and floor. If delivered by mail, then mail to the Lane B. Email: cbriggs@wrallp.com In order to receive consideration, questions must be received by Engineer at least ten (10) days prior to the date for the opening of Bids Work under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, constructing the Work described below and all related appurtenances. The Work shall be as follows: 1. Temporary removal of piping, including the required labeling, cataloging all reinstallation of all piping. 2. Surface preparation of concrete surfaces to be coated inclusive if removing and disposing of existing coating and spoils. Concrete surfaces to be coated shall be free of curing compounds and form release agents, laitance and foreign particles that may inhibit bonding. 3. Cementitious Repair Mortar shall be used as needed for structural repairs or surface repairs exceeding a depth of 1/4 inch in accordance with the Manufacturer's written instructions. 4. Application of Epoxy Cementitious Resurfacer to fill voids, bug holes, static cracks and joints to provide a uniform, void free surface for Epoxy Lining application. 5. Routing of and filling of the wall crack in accordance with detail provided. 6. Application of Epoxy Lining (basecoat.) Epoxy Lining protective coating shall be trowel applied and cured in accordance with Manufacturer's written instructions. 7. Application of Epoxy Glaze Coat (topcoat.) Epoxy Glaze Coat shall be applied over the Epoxy Lining in accordance with the Manufacturer's written instructions. 8. Repair of broken manhole stud in-kind and replacement of manhole gasket. 9. Tightening and adjustment of LINK-SEALs at existing pipe penetrations in digester wall (16 penetrations, two link seals per penetration). Removal of existing caulking and recaulking of penetrations. B. Work consists of providing labor, materials, equipment, services and administration required in conjunction with or properly incidental to construction of the project. All work shall be performed in accordance with Federal, State and Local regulations and OSHA requirements. C. Consideration will not be given for misunderstanding the amount of work to be performed. Work includes all items and conditionsspecified, indicated in the Specifications or required by nature of the building or site. Any questions on the Scope of Work should be submitted to the Engineer, in writing, for resolution. D. The Contractor shall submit a health and safety plan outlining fall protection, confined space measures, and precautions for work in National Electrical Code (NEC) classified spaces. See Section 01300 - Submittals for details. E. This is an existing operational facility, requiring close coordination with the wastewater treatment plant personnel to ensure the continuous operation of the facility.
