The Denair Unified School District is seeking to install new foul ball netting at the varsity and junior varsity baseball fields. This project will be executed in two phases, with the option to complete both phases simultaneously: Phase 1 will extend approximately 230 feet along the right field of the varsity field. Phase 2 will cover approximately 240 feet along the left field of the junior varsity field. Both installations will be situated along the western edge of the District's property line, with netting installed at a height of 16 to 20 feet. The footage is approximate, and final measurements will need to be conducted prior to installation. Additionally, the project will include the provision of architectural plans and engineering drawings for DSA (Division of the State Architect) submittal, which ensures that the project complies with state regulations and safety standards for school facilities. The target date for installation is Spring 2025. Each bid must be on the District's Bid Form and accompanied by bid security, a List of Proposed Subcontractors, a Non-Collusion Declaration, Site Visit Certification, and other forms furnished with the Contract Documents. In addition, all bidders must be on the District's approved CUPCCAA list. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. No award shall be made for work under this contract unless the CONTRACTOR verifies to the DISTRICT that they possess all necessary permits, certificates, and licenses, and will continue to be properly licensed throughout the term of the Contract. Any CONTRACTOR not so licensed is subject to penalties under the law. Each general bidder must possess a current Class B - General Contractor license. Board Award Tentatively: February 13, 2025 Bidders are advised that this contract is a public work for purposes of the California a Labor Code, which requires payment of prevailing wages. Wage rates can be obtained from the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations at online. A prequalification application is not required for this project. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bonds are required and shall be in the forms set forth in the contract. The CONTRACTOR to whom the contract is awarded may avail themselves of the provisions of Government Code Section 4590, which allows certain securities to be substituted for monies withheld to ensure performance. Per owner all bids were rejected, and this project will re-bid at a future time and date TBD.
