Demolition, site work and addition to a library in East Windsor, Connecticut. Working plans call for the addition of a 130-square-foot library; for the demolition of a library; and for site work for a library.

**As of February 26, 2025 project is cancelled and no definite day for rebid.** Warehouse Point Library Vestibule Project - The project consists of removal of the existing entry overhang, entry doors and trim, concrete sidewalk, and portions of existing retaining walls. New work shall include constructing a new entrance vestibule, reconstruction of portions of existing retaining walls, pouring new concrete sidewalk, installation of new storefront framing and doors, and all associated electrical work. The owner intends to install a new electronic sign, the contractor shall install new data conduit to the location of the new sign. Location- 107 Main St East Windsor, CT 06088 This contract is subject to the requirements of the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO) and bidders must comply with all applicable state laws regarding equal employment opportunity and affirmative action. Minority and women-owned businesses are strongly encouraged to submit bids for this project. The Warehouse Point Library intends to award the contract to the responsible and qualified contractor who has proposed the lowest Contract Sum and reserves the right to negotiate with said qualified contractor. This project will be partially funded by a $97,000 grant from the Connecticut State Library, State Grant Program For Public Library Construction. The Warehouse Point Library is "An Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity Employer". Women and minorities are encouraged to bid. Bidders will be required to provide references and evidence of a minimum of ten years of experience in previous, similar work, and must carry appropriate insurance coverages. The Warehouse Point Library reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to accept informality in bids, and to award the contract to any one of the contractors regardless of the amount of the bid, if the interests of the Warehouse Point Library will, in the opinion Bid security in the amount of 5% of the base bid, made out to Warehouse Point Library must accompany each bid. Bid bond amount will be retained as liquidated damages in case the selected bidder fails to execute a contract A performance bond covering 100% of the contract price is required. (C.G.S. 49-41). The General Conditions for this Project will require Performance and Payment Bonds. Non-discrimination is required. No bidder may withdraw his or her bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Owner reserves the right to reject bids and to waive irregularities.
