Emergency Generator Maintenance Program This invitation seeks a qualified contractor to provide inspection, routine maintenance, and emergency service on generators for the City of Gardner and School Department, supplying all labor, materials and equipment necessary to satisfy the requirements of this bid. The contract shall be for three years with the option of renewal for two additional years, at the sole discretion of the City of Gardner. Bidding procedure and award shall be subject to the provisions of Chapter 149, Section 44 a-j of the General Laws of the Commonwealth, including all current amendments. The City of Gardner reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, or to reject any and all bids, wholly or in part, and to accept proposals deemed to be in the best interest of the City. Contractors shall have verifiable experience in the field. Project is subject to OSHA training requirements and the Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Law. Payment bonds shall be furnished by the successful bidder in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the contract sum, prior to execution of the contractor. Additional provisions are detailed in the bid package. Bid security, in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check, payable to the City of Gardner, is required in a dollar amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount.
