Site work, environmental remediation and renovation of a residential development in Eutaw, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development; for site work for a residential development; and for environmental remediation for a residential development.

The Authority Shall Accept Bids Only From Contractors Who Have Successfully Completed at Least Three Similar Assignments on Time for a Satisfied Federal, State, County or City Governmental Agency and is in Good Status With the Alabama Licensing Board for General Contractors. The Project Consists of Work Primarily in 192 Units in Hvac Mechanical Closets and Includes Removal and Replacement of Hvac Units and Hot Water Heaters; and Removal and Replacement of Sheetrock, Insulation, and Other Items in Walls and Ceilings With Mold Contamination Per Mold Remediation Assessment and Remediation Protocol. The Work Also Includes Cleaning, Disinfecting, and Painting Surrounding Areas in Mechanical Closets as It Relates to Mold Remediation. Pre-existing Mold Remediation Assessments and Remediation Protocols Have Been Conducted and Will Be Provided to Interested Bidders Upon Request of Bid Packet. All Potential Bidders Shall Contact the Executive Director of the Authority, Anita D. Lewis, at Gchauth@bellsouth.net. To Obtain a Copy. Effected Areas and Surfaces Must Be Properly Cleaned and Disinfected. Containment and Removal of Mold-affected Materials Must Be in Adherence to Industry Standards, Local Building Codes, and Environmental Regulations. Air Quality Testing and Clearance Will Be Performed by a Certified, Licensed Firm Procured by Hagc Before Installing New Sheetrock, Insulation, Hvac, and Hot Water Heaters. Contractors' Representatives Should Be Licensed According to State and Local Requirements and Meet the Statutory Requirements, Including Maintaining a License in Good Standing. All Work is to Be Warranted for a Minimum of 12 Months. Interested General Contractors Must Be Licensed the General Contractors Licensure Board of Alabama and Meet the Statutory Requirements, Including Maintaining a License in Good Standing. All Bidders Shall Include Their License Number With the Submission of the Bid. Effected Areas and Surfaces Must Be Properly Cleaned and Disinfected. A Certified Check or Bank Draft, Payable to the Order of the Housing Authority of Greene County or a Satisfactory Bid Bond Executed by the Bidder and an Acceptable Surety Company in an Amount Equal to Five Percent (5%) of the Total Bid, but in No Event More Than Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000), Shall Be Submitted With Each Bid. Acceptable Surety Companies Are Listed in the Current Issue of the U.s. Department of the Treasury Circular 570. The Successful Bidder Will Be Required to Furnish and Pay for Both Satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond(S) in the Amount Equal to 100% of the Contract Price. Attention is Called to the Fact That Not Less Than the Minimum Salaries and Wages as Set Forth in the Contract Documents by Davis Bacon Wage Requirements Must Be Paid on This Project. Contractor Must Ensure That Employees and Applicants for Employment Are Not Discriminated Against Because of Their Race, Color, Religion, Sex, or National Origin. Contractors Must Also Be Willing to Comply With Section 3 Requirements for New Employment, Training, and Contracting Opportunities as Outlined in Title 24, Cfr 75. Contractors Are Reminded That, in Accordance With State Law, Licensing Numbers Shall Be Displayed on the Sealed Envelope in Which the Bid is Delivered, or the Bid Will Not Be Accepted. Bids Must Be Submitted on Bid Forms Included in the Ifb Packet, or Copies Thereof. Each Bid Must Include the Representations, Certifications, and Other Statements of Bidders (Hud 5369-a), Non-collusive Affidavit, Previous Participation Certification (Hud 2530), Section 3 Clause Compliance Commit Form and Section 3 Participation Election Form Signed by the Bidder on the Correct Forms. The Housing Authority of Greene County Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids or to Waive Any Informalities in the Bidding. Bids May Be Held by the Housing Authority of Greene County for a Period Not to Exceed Sixty (60) Days From the Date of Opening of Bids for the Purpose of Reviewing Then and Investigating the Qualifications of the Bidders, Prior to Awarding the Contract. Bids Must Be Submitted in a Sealed Envelope, Clearly Marked ''ifb- Al190-024 Mold Remediation, Hvac, & Plumbing Services,'' Attention: Anita D. Lewis, Executive Director, No Later Than the Date and Time Specified Above. Any Bid That is Not Sealed or Marked Accordingly May Be Rejected.
