West Lexington Street Corridor Transformational Redevelopment Opportunity. The University of Maryland, Baltimore (herein called the "University" or "UMB") seeks proposals from qualified developers interested in collaborating with the University to develop the West Lexington Street Corridor, an area of focus on the university's campus. The primary goal of this development initiative is to improve the vibrancy of the Lexington Street corridor from Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to the new Lexington Market. The selected team will have exclusive development rights to several UMB owned parcels, creating a scaled opportunity for neighborhood transformation. UMB envisions a solid mix of residential and retail development on West Lexington Street to serve the campus' 6,700 students, 8,200 employees, 20,000 annual visitors and the surrounding neighborhood. Answers sent to applicants no later than December 18th The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals, in whole or in part, received as a result of this RFP, to waive minor irregularities, to negotiate in any manner necessary to best serve the interest of the University. Further, the University reserves the right to make a whole award, multiple awards, a partial award or no award at all. Offerors judged by the procurement officer not to be responsible or offerors whose proposals are classified as not reasonably susceptible of being selected for award shall be so notified. The University reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantities of any materials, equipment, supplies or services. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
