Description Grounds Maintenance - Grounds Equipment Agricultural - Services Agricultural - Supplies This is a Request for Proposal for a Zimmatic pivot. This is brand name specific for so we have 3 replicates (3 pivots) with the same control and operations for research and operation similarity. Montana State University-Northern Agricultural Research Center (NARC) located near Havre, Montana conducts agronomic research and education programs for agriculture in the dry land and irrigated areas for the five counties in Northern Montana. NARC is requesting proposals for the purchase and installation of one center pivot irrigation system. It will be located in what is known as the "G" Field, on the north end of Northern Ag Research Center site (see attachments). Havre, MT is located in a high wind area and any system must be able to withstand and operate in the local weather conditions and high wind gusts. The towers and support structure must also be sufficient to withstand Havre, MT weather conditions. The system must be fully and easily winterized with minimal steps. The current design idea is for one pivot equipped with end gun and/or swing arms; however, other designs will be considered toincrease acresthat can be irrigated.
