Renovation of a municipal facility in Champaign, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
**As of February 21, 2025 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on March 4t, 2025. The City of Champaign Township is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced contractors for the replacement of existing vinyl tile flooring with a new commercial epoxy flake flooring system. The project involves the removal and disposal of the current vinyl one-foot square tiles, including required asbestos testing prior to demolition. Should asbestos remediation or abatement be necessary, a contract Change Order will be processed to accommodate any additional costs. The installation of a 4-inch black PVC/vinyl base cove along the perimeter of the new flooring is required. If required by the RFP/RFQ, accompanying this Proposal is a bank draft, bank cashier's check, certified check or bid bond issued by a surety licensed to do business in Illinois, or letter of credit, complying with the requirements of the specifications and instructions, made payable to the City of Champaign Township in the amount set forth in Section Ill. If this Proposal is accepted and the undersigned shall fail to execute a contract or submit evidence of insurance, performance bond or other documents as required, it is hereby agreed that the amount of the check, letter of credit, draft or bond shall become the property of the Township, and shall be considered as payment of damages due to delay and other injuries suffered by the Township because of the failure to execute said contract; otherwise, said check, letter of credit, draft, or bond, shall be returned to the undersigned as provided for in the Request. ** *If a contractor cannot attend the mandatory pre-proposal meeting, an alternate site visit must be scheduled with the Project Manager AT LEAST TWO (3) BUSINESS DAYS PRIOR TO THE PROPOSAL DUE DATE in order for the proposal to be considered responsive. An alternate tour date may be made available by special appointment only with the Project Manager*** All proposals made in response to this Request shall be accompanied by a bank draft, cashier's check, letter of credit, certified check ("security checks") or proposal bond issued by a licensed surety equal to ten percent (10%) of the total value of the proposal to secure a proposal. Any check submitted to secure the proposal must be made out to the "City of Champaign Township". This contract is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq), as amended to date, unless superseded by the Davis-Bacon Act or otherwise stated. The Township has adopted the prevailing wage rates established by the Illinois Department of Labor.
