Reference Number 0000284478 Question Acceptance Deadline 2025/01/21 04:00:00 PM CST Request for Pre-Qualifications for Environmental Planning and Advisory Services from proponents for professional consultation services Manitoba is seeking qualified expertise(s) to provide comprehensive Environmental Advisory and Planning services. The selected vendor(s) will be responsible in supporting our environmental initiatives and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. These services are essential to support our organization's commitment to environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, and sustainable development. The selected vendor(s) will work closely with Manitoba or Buying Group Members to deliver high-quality, impactful solutions. The scope of deliverables include but are not limited to: Climate and Emergency Management Consulting Services: These services focus on advising the government on strategies to mitigate and adapt to climate change while preparing for environmental emergencies. This includes developing climate action plans, risk assessments, for extreme weather events, and strategies to enhance community resilience. Emergency management entails creating response and recovery frameworks for natural disasters, ensuring sustainability, and reducing long-term environmental impacts. Heritage Resource Management: This involves the identification, preservation, and management of cultural, historical, and archeological resources. This ensures that developments and land-use changes respect and protect historical sites, indigenous heritage, and culturally significant landscapes, integrating compliance with legal and ethical standards. Wildlife Resource Management: This service focuses on the conservation and sustainable management of wildfire populations and habitats. It includes assessing the impact of land use or development on animal species, implementation of strategies to protect endangered species, and ensuring biodiversity is maintained as part of environmental planning efforts. Ecological Assessment: This focuses on evaluating potential impact of proposed projects or developments on ecosystems. It cut across field studies to document vegetation, wildlife and habitats conditions, as well as recommendations for mitigating ecological damage. These assessments are integral to compliance with environmental regulations and ensuring Engagement on Environmental Matters: This involves facilitating meaningful participation and consultation with diverse stakeholders, including the public, indigenous communities, and industry players as it relates to environmental decisions. Effective engagement ensures transparency, addresses concerns,sustainability. incorporates diverse perspectives, and builds trust in environmental planning processes. Environmental Site Assessment: This involves evaluation of environmental conditions of sites to identify potential or existing contamination. These assessments are typically conducted in phases which include historical reviews and site inspection, sampling and testing. This assessment is required in order to understand site risks, ensuring compliance, and determining remediation needs before development. The Initial term of the Master Agreement will be for a period of three (3) years. There will be no optional extension of the term.
