Furnishing materials required in the maintenance of the various Road Districts and County of Jasper. The County, in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on the ground of race, color or national origin. The right is reserved to reject any all proposals and to waive technicalities. Proposal guarantee in the amount of not less than 5% of the bid, or as provided in Article 102.09 of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge construction, will be required. Where a surety bond is not required, the proposal guarantee of the successful bidder will be held in lieu thereof. Failure on the part of the contractor to deliver the material within the time specified or to do the work as specified herein will be considered just cause to forfeit his surety as provided in Article 108.11 of the Standard Specifications. Bid date notes: Proposals shall be submitted on forms furnished by the County which may be obtained at the office of the County Engineer and shall be enclosed in an envelope endorsed "Material Proposal".
