Jasper County Community Unit School District #1, Newton. Illinois will receive bids for the project captioned below. The project consists of removing and replacing approximately 39,000 square feet of an existing EPDM roof membrane over insulation attached to gypsum deck. It will be replaced with a new fully adhered EPDM roof membrane, over cover board, over insulation. Additional work includes modifications to gas piping, duct work, and electrical conduit. Prevailing wages in accordance with Jasper County is required. Bid security is required, in the form of a bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid as guarantee that the bid will not be withdrawn within 30 days after the date of opening of bids, and that the successful bidder will enter into a Contract for the work awarded to them. Bid security shall be made payable to Jasper County CUSD #1. Bonds are required: Both a Performance Bond and a Labor and Payment Bond are required for this project, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Your Bid will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submission. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or any part thereof, to waive any informality in bidding, and to accept bids deemed most favorable to the owner.
