Sealed bids are invited for the Newton Elementary 2025 Addition, Bid Package No. 31 – Earthwork, Site Utilities, and Landscaping. The scope of work includes all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and services necessary to complete these aspects of the elementary school addition project. Bids must follow the specified inclusions and responsibilities as outlined for this bid package. Bid proposals are to be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly labeled with the project and bid package information, along with the bidder's name and the date and time of the bid opening. Faxed or emailed bids will not be accepted. Bidders should be prepared to participate in a bid scope review meeting immediately following the opening of the sealed bids. Bidders are required to provide a bid security in the form of a cashier’s check, certified check, or bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid amount. Offers are to be irrevocable for a period of 90 days after submission. Contractors and subcontractors must pay prevailing wages per state law. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and waive any informality in the bidding process. Bid documents are available for purchase from designated printing companies or for review at various plan rooms. Successful bidders may be required to submit a confidential financial statement or qualifications statement and attend an interview prior to contract award. Performance and payment bonds will be required from successful bidders.
