Renovation of a military facility in Westfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

Building One Carpet Replacement project at the Barnes ANG Base Westfield, MA in accordance with the documents prepared by the. 104th Civil Engineering Squadron The Project consists of but not limited to: Scope of Work: (Overview) Replace existing carpet and cove base of FSS area located on the second floor of Building 1. Project involves the following: 2.1 Contractor to remove existing carpet and cove base, disposed off base. 2.2 Contractor to provide and install new carpet tiles per attached specifications. 2.3 Contractor to provide and install new cove base. 2.4 Contractor to provide install any transitions/threshold as needed. Work proposed in this SOW will be performed in a high security area. Contractor shall strictly follow prescribed access to the work site and minimize disruption to the base work force. Clean-up of work area will be accomplished daily. Contractor shall follow all security and parking requirements while on base accomplishing the specified work. Additional requirements may be explained at a pre-performance conference. Acquisition Method: Fee For Service. The Awarding Authority will discuss progress payments for the awarded project amount to be paid with Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). The Massachusetts Military Division is a tax-exempt entity. The awarded contractor will produce Liability Insurance information naming the Commonwealth as additionally insured prior to work commencing. Contractors submitting a bid must include an Authorized Signatory and Non-Collusion Form. Wages: Prevailing wages will be required for this project. Included with the solicitation are Davis Bacon (federal wages.) Certified payroll is required prior to progress or final payment Replacement of the existing carpet and cove base of FSS area located in the second floor of Building 1. General bidders must agree to contract with minority and women business as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO) formerly known as SOMWBA. The Construction Workforce Utilization Goals are 15.3% minority workers and 6.9% women workers of the final contract price including accepted alternates. General bids and shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (including all alternates), and made payable to the MASSACHUSETTS MILITARY DIVISION. Note: A bid deposit is not required for Projects advertised under $50,000. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work, General Building Construction, and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. (If project exceeds $150K) Filed sub-bidders must be DCAMM certified for the trades listed below and bidders must include a current DCAMM Sub-Bidder Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM
