Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Monroe, Ohio. Working plans call for the construction of a 100,145-square-foot educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
Monroe Local Schools is building a new $62.1 million high school on its current campus, located at 220 Yankee Road in Monroe, to address its increasing student population. The new facility will stand at 100,145 square feet and serve grades 9-12, housing 601 students. It will be constructed on the district's current campus on about 9 acres, just southeast of the existing Monroe High School building. Once the new high school is built, the existing facility will serve grades K-8, and the new high school will house grades 9-12, allowing for all buildings to decongest. As of January 14, 2026, design team and contractor have been identified. Construction expected to start in May 2026 with school opening August 2028.
