Renovation of a water / sewer project in Naperville, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The Water Utility has a fleet of backup generators to supply power to water supply and wastewater pumping stations in case of power outages. Some of these generators are up to 45 years old and obsolete. The Generator Replacement Projects will ensure that each of these critical sites will have a reliable secondary power source and meet the utilities regulatory compliance requirements. This project is included in the city's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of December 31, 2024, project is funded for FY2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
