Site work for a water / sewer project in Tinley Park, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Site Address: 17801 Cloverview Drive City: Tinley Park County: Cook State/Province: IL Site Directions: Project is located at the Village's Post 11 High Tank off of Cloverview Drive. Description: This project generally consists of: - Full blast of the existing interior wet coating system. - Application of new interior wet coating system. - Spot tool cleaning and application of new interior dry coating system where existing substrate has failed. - Full blast of exterior coating system. - Application of new exterior coating system. - Miscellaneous mechanical and electrical repairs. - Interior wet roof repairs and miscellaneous welding. Tank Coating System 1. Dry Interior: Spot abrasive blast clean in accordance with SSPC-SP-6 Standards and then prime and paint corroded areas. Other components such as the existing Riser piping and pit piping are to be abrasive blast cleaned in accordance with SSPC-SP-10 Standards then primed and painted. Then install new insulation with an aluminum frost jacket. 2. Exterior Coating: The exterior of the tank will need to be full abrasive blast cleaned to near white finish in accordance with SSPC-SP-5 Standards, then primed and painted with a three-part polyurethane / fluoropolymer polyurethane coating system. 3. Interior Wet: The interior shall be full abrasive blast clean to near white finish in accordance with SSPC-SP-10 Standards, remove spent media and apply new three coat NSF approved, immersible rated epoxy paint coating system. Welding Interior Wet 4. Various locations of metal fatigue shall be seal welded, pit welded and painted. 5. Install mud valve to overflow drain. Interior Dry 6. Various locations of metal fatigue shall be seal welded, pit welded and painted. Exterior 7. Remove and replace roof access hatch with an aluminum style lid. The new lid should include a locking hasp and chain. 8. Install a climb assist ladder up device on the exterior (roof side) of the drywell tube. 9. Remove the existing vent in its entirety and install an aluminum pressure pallet style vent. 10. Install a new aluminum wet access manway in the roof above the new wet ladder. 11. Remove the antenna mount on the roof in its entirety. Install a new 30'-0" pipe style handrail conforming to OSHA regulations. 12. Install three ventilation manways on the roof located outside the new handrail. 13. Install a double LED aviation light on the new handrail. 14. Modify the overflow pipe to discharge at a downward angle onto the splash pad. Interior Dry Piping 15. Remove and replace existing expansion joints. 16. Clean and blast existing riser piping. 17. Reinsulate fill pipe, riser pipe and valve vault piping. Hatches and Manways 18. Install new 30" access manway to wet interior. 19. Replace the 24" diameter roof access hatch and the interior wet access hatch with new 30" diameter roof hatches. 20. Install a lock and hasp on the proposed dry riser and wet interior hatch to deter unauthorized personnel from accessing water system. 21. Install new gaskets on the interior dry and wet access manways. Vent 22. Replace existing roof vent with new aluminum vent and install HDPE screen. Antennas 23. The existing antenna mount will remain in use during the new coating system application. Electrical 24. Replace interior lighting with new LED lighting along ladder in each platform area. 25. Replace conduit, wiring and the FAA Fresnel fixture with new energy efficient LED lighting unit to match existing. 26. Install new cover plates on missing existing junction boxes and LB fittings throughout interior. Ladders 27. Dry: The interior dry ladder is in good condition. Install new cable guided type fall protection device on the interior dry access tube ladder and new ladder up device at top of ladder near roof. 28. Wet: Replace interior wet ladder in its entirety. Cathodic Protection System 29. Remove existing cathodic protection system and replace the existing rectifier and hanging anode system with output cable and conduit to SCADA panel. Altitude Valve Vault and Expansion Joint Piping 30. Provide new altitude valve and expansion joint with pipe supports under all existing interior piping and valves. Water Stratification (Fresh Mix System) 31. Provide new Medora mixing system. A Gridbee Mixing System along with all mechanical and electrical. Concrete Repairs 32. Contractor to repair the spalling concrete on the exterior of the tank along the top of the foundation. B. Debris Removal. Included as part of the above Work shall be the removal of Cathodic Protection System and any and all debris resulting from the Work. Such debris shall be legally and properly disposed off site. All fees for such disposal shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. C. Painting. Paint shall be that of nationally recognized manufacturer and suitable for the application. See Section 09 91 13. 1.02 LOCATION OF THE WORK The project work site is located at 17801 Cloverview Drive, Tinley Park, IL.
