The Town is seeking a contractor to remove existing cast iron hot water boilers & controls and install (2) new high efficiency condensing hot water boilers & controls at E.C. Stevens Elementary School located at 18 Kondracki Lane, Wallingford, CT 06492. Demolition & Disposal: 1. Remove and dispose of (2) existing HB Smith 16 section series 44 mills cast iron boilers, burners & piping. 2. Remove and dispose of the existing black iron breeching & ID fans between boilers and existing masonry chimney. 3. Remove and dispose of the existing (4) expansion tanks and piping. 4. Existing AO Smith water heater shall not be removed. 5. The existing hot water pumps shall not be removed. 6. The existing (3) way valves shall not be removed. 7. The existing pneumatic by-pass valves shall not be removed. Basis of Award: The Town intends to award the bid to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest total lump sum cost.
