Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in North Plainfield, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material, and equipment necessary or required to complete all work set forth in the specifications. The work generally consists of milling, resurfacing with base course repair, concrete curbing, driveway apron repair, miscellaneous sidewalk repair, stormwater system repairs, and ADA compliant handicap ramps. Question Deadline 01/20/2025 All comments and/or questions regarding the bid should be addressed in writing to Cynthia Blake, QPA, Purchasing Agent, 515 Watchung Avenue, City of Plainfield, New Jersey, cynthia.blake@plainfieldnj.gov. The work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed within 180 days of notice to proceed. The Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) goal is 4%. All NJDOT Civil Rights forms must be submitted to Cynthia Blake, QPA, Purchasing Agent, City of Plainfield, New Jersey, cynthia.blake@plainfieldnj.gov. Interested consultants are informed that the contract, if awarded, is subject to all pertinent federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations. Proposals must be made on the Standard Proposal Forms in a manner designated in the contract documents, must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the work on the outside, addressed to Cynthia Blake, Purchasing Agent City of Plainfield Division of Purchasing, 515 Watchung Avenue, Plainfield, N.J. 07060 and must be accompanied by all items identified in the Contract Documents including, but not limited to, a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company holding a Certificate of Authorization to do business in the State of New Jersey and a bid guarantee (Proposal Security) for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid except that the guarantee need not exceed $20,000.00. Prospective bidders are hereby notified that an original and one CD or three (3) copies with signatures of the entire bid package must be submitted to the City. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, addressed to the Owner and labeled for the Safe Routes to School Project. The City of Plainfield reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the City of Plainfield.
