The project generally consists of the resurfacing of the existing Tipping Floor in the Rock Avenue Solid Waste Transfer Station located at 95 Rock Avenue, Plainfield, NJ 07063, as well as all other work in accordance with the Contract Documents. Each Bid must also be accompanied by a certificate of Consent of Surety from a bonding company licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the City of Plainfield in either a Bid Bond, Certified or Cashier's Check drawn to the order of "City of Plainfield" for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, not to exceed a maximum of $20,000.00. The award of the contract shall be made subject to the necessary availability of funds to do the work being provided by the City of Plainfield in a lawful manner. The contract to be executed by the successful bidder will provide that it shall not become effective until the necessary funds to do the work have been provided by the City of Plainfield in a lawful manner. Doc note: Bidders will be furnished with a copy of the contract documents and plans by the City of Plainfield Purchasing Division, upon proper notice and payment of a non-refundable copy cost of $50.00 payable to the City of Plainfield. The City reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the City of Plainfield, in accordance with applicable law.
