Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Richland, Washington. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

To design and construct a single-crew, community-based fire station in the Horn Rapids development in order to provide coverage in the northwest region of the city and secondary coverage in north central Richland. Placement of this station would align with the department's Facility Deployment Plan and the City's Comprehensive Plan. The timeframe anticipated in this CIP item remains tentative and will need to be evaluated against adjacent station resource reliability, call volume and response times in northwest Richland, and consideration for system demand in other areas of the city that may compete with this station site for priority deployment. February 13, 2026, this project is included in the city's 2026 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Further information regarding a design firm has not been established. Construction is not expected to begin until at least 2028. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
