Demolition, site work and addition to a water / sewer project in Coshocton, Ohio. Completed plans call for the addition of a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The City of Coshocton seeks a qualified general contractor to perform work for the construction of a building addition to provide a new motor control room which houses mechanical and electrical equipment, and a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system for the City of Coshocton. Work shall include, but not limited to, the following scope; site preparation, site utilities, construction of a 234 sf wood frame building, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. Coordination of the work shall be managed by the General Contractor. Bid bond is required. Liquidated damages (paragraph 6.13) apply to this project. The project is bid as single contract for a General Contractor. The successful bidder, on a lump sum basis, shall provide all labor and materials, and equipment necessary to complete the work in accordance with the provisions of the Contract Documents. Sealed Bids will be received by the Coshocton County Commissioners for furnishing the materials and performing the labor for the execution and construction of: Coshocton County - WWTP MCC - Building Addition - 2025 2742 S. 2nd St. CR-271, Coshocton, OH 43812 In accordance with the Plans and Specifications prepared by Diversified Engineering, Inc, 175 Ray Avenue NE, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663. Facsimile and email proposals will not be accepted. Estimate of Probable Construction Cost: $596,978.52 The Contractor responsible for scheduling the project, coordinating all sub-contractors and providing other services identified in the Contract Documents shall be the Mechanical Contractor, also named as the lead contractor. Issuing Office: Diversified Engineering, Inc. 175 Ray Avenue, NE New Philadelphia, OH 44663 This project is a Federally funded by using CDBG funding. This project is subject to the Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements for all contractors or subcontractors per 20 U.S.C. 1232b Labor Standards as attached to the Agreement between Owner and Contractor for construction as Exhibit C. A Bid Guaranty, as required by ORC 153.54, shall accompany each proposal in one of two forms, as follows: A certified check or cashier's check in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount submitted with a signed Bid Guaranty form. Upon entering into a contract with the Owner, the successful Bidder must then file a performance bond for the full amount of the contract. Checks will be returned to the successful and unsuccessful Bidders when the contract is executed; or after sixty (60) days. Checks are to be made payable to the City of Coshocton. A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the Bid. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers, to accept the lowest responsible bids, to waive any informalities in bids received, and to enter into the contract which, in the sole judgment of the Owner, will suit the Owner's needs.
