Site work for a power facility in Jamestown, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a power facility.
The work consists of the demolition of the coal conveying system within the 1950s portion of the building and through the outbuildings. The coal chute towers and tube structures shall be demolished as well. Asbestos abatement and coal ash removal shall be included as part of this project. In addition, a portion of the 1950s building roof will be removed and replaced. Supply of labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and technical direction for the coal system and structure demolition project at the S.A. Carlson Generating Station located at 136 Steele Street, Jamestown, NY 14701. The BPU reserves the right to reject any or all bids, the right to waive any informalities, the right to permit exceptions deemed not to be of substance, and the right to accept any bid which the BPU deems to represent the prudent and economical expenditure of the public monies for the benefit of its customers by securing the maximum quality at the lowest possible cost.
