County responses to questions concerning the substance of the ITB will be provided to all parties, in the form of an addendum to the ITB. o The intent is to purchase 1 Road Widener, and possibly a 2nd one later in 2025. o Diesel engine must be a Kubota, Water cooled, Tier IV type 24 HP. o Material capacity spread and discharge- Must be variable to 450 tons per hour. o Spread and discharge capability must be moveable right side to left side. o Width of spread to be at Standard l' to 6'; optional to 8' o Depth of spread to be 12" below to 12" above pavement. o Overall width of attachment not to exceed 11 '6". o Hopper frame must be a welded type with integrated hydraulically driven conveyor. o Opening for dump truck between hopper end panels must be a minimum width of 9 ft -8 in. with a 3/4 in. thick hopper bib rubber bolted to a 1/2 in. thick steel bumper plate. o Capacity of the hopper must be 3 cu. yds. o Rollers must be self-cleaning and oscillating type to maintain proper truck alignment. o Rigid rollers not acceptable. o Frame Push roller frame must be extendable (14" travel) to match with various types of trucks. o Conveyor must have a high torque hydraulic motor mounted on drive pulley shaft. o Motor must be reversible by interchanging 2 hydraulic hoses. o Belt Conveyor belt must be 18" wide positive drive. o Belt must consist of two (2) drive chains bolted to each edge of the heat and oil resistant two (2) ply. o Belt splice must be bolted hinged type stainless steel. o Idlers Conveyor idlers must be ball bearing type. o Conveyor must be supported by a minimum of 30 rollers. o Idlers must be spaced on minimum 4" centers. o Sideboards must be adjustable and replaceable rubber type. o Strike-off blade-Blade: Bull-Nose type, 18" high, reversible, with torque tubes. o Individual blade sections must include: (2) 2 ft. sections and (2) 1 ft. sections. o Column- Push bar must be telescoping type with quick pins. o Control of Strike-off height (grade) must be hydraulically adjustable from operator panel. Hydraulic valves must have automatic lock feature to maintain grade once set by operator. o Control of Strike-off Slope must be hydraulically adjustable from operator panel and use hydraulic cylinder for both positive and negative slope adjustment. o Inside edge plate must be provided to keep paving material in front of the strike-off blade and away from the main road surface. o Outer edger plate must be provided to retain shoulder paving material within the desired strike-off blade width o A Hydraulic extendable (2 ft. to 3 ft.) blade section must be provided which can extend up to an additional 12" by hydraulic control from operator's panel.
