There is no planned pre-bid meeting as the site is accessible to the public from the street. Operations will have the interior of the pump station building accessible from 10-11am on Thursday June 5, 2025 for interested bidders. Attendance is not mandatory. The project consists of performing the following, including, but not limited to: The work generally consists of replacing the existing sanitary sewer lift station with a new lift station. The major elements of the Work include: A new sanitary sewer pump station with wet well, valve vault, two 3HP pumps controls, and associated piping, 4-inch PVC force main and 8-inch gravity sewer, install owner-furnished lift station control panel automatic transfer switch and emergency standby generator, provide foundation for future propane storage tank. All bidders and contractors shall be licensed in accordance with the provisions of the California Contractor's License Law, Chapter 9 of Division 3 of the State Business and Professions Code. In addition, bidder must have at the time the contract is awarded for this project, one of the following classification(s) of contractor's license: Class A - General Engineering Contractor's License. A bid bond of 10% of the bid is required to be submitted prior to deadline. The City's preferred method of bid bond verification is electronically through Surety 2000. Once the bond has been secured, the vendor will enter the Bond Number and their Contractor Vendor ID during proposal submission in the OpenGov portal (use company EIN if Vendor ID not provided by surety). When these fields have been filled in, the Verify Bid Bond button becomes active. Clicking the button initiates a request to Surety2000 with the bond information which will then return as verified in the case the information matches, or not verified.
