Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Melbourne, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; for outdoor lighting for a sidewalk / parking lot; transportation facility; and water / sewer project.

**As of March 21, 2025, the project was awarded to W&J Construction, with an awarded amount of $915,082.64.** This project will include, but not be limited to: construction of approximately 5,850 square yards of curbed asphalt pavement, along with drainage, striping, and lighting; and modifications within the existing Employee Parking Lot No. 3. The existing dry grass stormwater pond south of the parking area will be re-graded as required for the added pavement. The parking modification will provide 119 additional public parking spaces and 20 additional employee parking spaces. The project will require pavement demolition, tree removal (mostly cabbage palms), stripping of turf, grading, storm drainage, pavement and curb construction, electrical (area lighting) work, pavement marking (striping), sodding with Bahia, and installation of a low (3 ft.) open-frame fence type rail around the public parking area. The public and employee parking areas will be separated by curbed grass strips. No irrigation or ornamental plantings are included. The Melbourne Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any formalities or irregularities, or to re-advertise for bids. A Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of 5% of the Total Amount Bid shall be submitted with the bid. A Public Construction Bond, equal to 100% of the amount of the Contract awarded, will be required prior to execution of contract. This project is not federally funded; federal contract provisions do not apply. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for receipt of bids, for a period of sixty (60) calendar days.
