Renovation of an educational facility in Deep River, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
A Satisfactory Bid Bond or Certified Check, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid, shall be submitted with each bid. The bid bond shall be made payable to Regional School District 4 and shall be property executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties. All bonds must be from sureties listed on the recent IRS Circular 570. Base bid schedule requires the following: a. The base bid work related to the construction of the pavement, sidewalks providing access to the existing stair entrance and the related sitework must be completed by August 15, 2025. b. The base bid work which is the construction of the security vestibule, stairs, and elevator and related sitework must be completed by August 15, 2025. c. The alternate work if accepted which is the extension of the storm drainage to the drainage manhole must be completed by August 15, 2025. d. Based on the availability of materials the contractor must at the time of bid identify the timeframe for the delivery of the elevator and any other material that cannot be procured and installed by August 15, 2025, and provide a schedule for the delivery of the materials and an alternate completion date. Bids to received consideration must be in the hands of the authorized representative no later than the day and hour mentioned above. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the opening of bids. without the consent of the above authority. The approximate budget for the project is $1.5 - $2 million
