The City would like: Base Bid for the Demolition and Site Clearing and Grading. Alternate Base Bid for Same and if Hazardous Materials are located, cost of Hazmat Remediation The City of Crown Point, Indiana through its Board of Public Works and Safety ( City of Crown Point ) is requesting proposals for the demolition of the building improvements located at 400 E. North Street, Crown Point, IN 46307 as part of its determination that the structure is an unsafe building pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-9. Contractors providing proposals for the project shall include: Demolish, remove and properly dispose of all building structures and materials and provide written proof of proper disposal of the same and properly grade soil to be brought to level grade with surrounding elevations and seeded. All Contractors submitting proposals must provide a total project cost for completion of the work on a standard proposal form. Contractors are invited to submit additional information and qualifications defining the details of their Proposal. The total project cost must include the necessary contracting permits, licenses, labor, equipment, tools, insurance, project services costs and so forth incidental to and required to fully execute the work. The successful Contractor shall submit its Insurance Certificate naming the City of Crown Point and its professional service agents as additionally insured prior to the start of the work. The successful Contractor shall commence demolition work upon receipt of the notice to proceed by the City of Crown Point and shall complete the work within 30 days . The successful Contractor shall be responsible for the coordination of work with other contractors as needed. The City of Crown Point reserves the right to reject proposals with or without cause and for any reason, to waive any irregularities or informalities, and to solicit and re-advertise for other proposals and to award the proposal to the lowest responsible and responsible Proposer. Incomplete or non-responsive proposals may be rejected by the City of Crown as non-responsive or irregular. The City of Crown Point reserves the right to reject any proposal for any reason, including, but without limitation, if the Contractor fails to submit any required documentation, if the Contractor is in arrears or in default upon any debt or contract to the City of Crown Point or has failed to perform faithfully any previous contract with the City of Crown Point or with other governmental jurisdictions.
