The Project includes the following Work: The project includes but is not limited to the installation of over 3-miles of large diameter deep interceptor pipe ranging in diameter from 36-inch to 48-inch with installation depths up to and in some cases exceeding 30-feet. This work is generally isolated to public rights-of-ways, down roadways in the downtown area of Crown Point, Indiana. Relocation of existing water lines and storm sewers are required to create the utility corridor for the installation of the interceptor. In some cases, abandonment of existing sanitary collection system sewers and transition of flows / sewer laterals to the new interceptor are required. Interconnection of existing manholes to the interceptor is also required for purposes of flow alleviation on the existing sewer system. Dewatering and bypass pumping are both anticipated required in support of said work. There is also an approximate 400-foot bore and jack installation of 72-inch carrier pipe for the 48-inch sanitary sewer performed in close proximity to the existing WWTP site. Road reconstruction along the route as well as other activities supportive of an ancillary too the interceptor installation are also required. Bids are requested for the following Contract: Downtown Interceptor Improvements Project. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be as shown in the Bid Form. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any bid, or all bids, or to accept any bid or bids, or to make such combination of bids as may seem desirable, and to waive any and all informalities in bidding. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids or authorized postponement thereof. Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. NO bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least 90 days. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) This project MAY receive funding in part with the American Rescue Plan Act, Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Funds to the State of Indiana through the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC). IEDC is a pass-through subrecipient of federal monies granted and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Organization (IMPO) is a lower tier subrecipient under the Federal Program. All regulations under this funding source are applicable.
