Renovation of a residential development in Ventura, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Windows, Screens, Glass & Doors The undersigned, having familiarized themselves with the local conditions affecting the cost of the work, and with the project specifications as shown below. In addition to the specifications, the undersigned will furnish all labor, materials, equipment, including permits, fees, and plans, if needed and services required to remove and replace all the windows, sliding patio doors and front doors, and include all patching and finish work, including trim, hardware, and touch up paint as needed by property. All debris and used materials related to work shall be removed and properly disposed of off-site. All the above is required to replace the existing windows and doors at four (4) properties, consisting of one (1) single family: 206 E. Kellogg Street, one (1) duplex: 6072-6064 Woodland Street, and two (2) twenty (20) unit complexes: 9808-9880 Jamestown Street and 2400-2410 N. Ventura Avenue. The properties will be occupied by residents during the course of construction and as such safety precautions must be taken by undersigned. 1. Existing windows to be removed and replaced with new Milgard Style-line retrofit windows and sliding patio doors with Milgard Trinsic retrofit doors. Bathroom windows to have obscure glass. 2. Existing entry door, door frame and threshold to be removed and replaced with new retrofit fiberglass masonite and made watertight, sealed, primed and painted 2-tone to match existing (color to be provided by owner). 3. Replace all door hardware with Schlage brushed stainless steel, provide with manufacturer warranty for wear in an exterior environment where applicable. All doors to be lever type hardware. All main entry doors to be provided with a dead bolt. Entry doors to be keyed per owner direction. 4. All interior and exterior finishes, such trim, carpentry, stucco should be patched, painted and repaired to maintain or restore a finished appearance. 5. All windows and sliding patio doors require new window coverings. All sliding windows, including patio doors to be replaced with vertical blinds and single hung with horizontal mini blinds. No window coverings on fixed picture windows, if any. The four (4) properties consist of 244 windows, 21 sliding patio doors and 29 entry doors (all retrofit) to be replaced, including window colors and additional trim. See breakdown by property: o 206 Kellogg St - 17 white windows, 1 sliding door and 3 entry doors o 6072 and 6064 Woodland St - 14 white windows, 6 entry doors with hardware and mouldings o 2400 N. Ventura Ave - 39 bronze on white windows, 10 patio doors and trim o 2410 N. Ventura Ave - 38 bronze on white windows, 10 patio doors and trim o 9808 Jamestown St - 34 bronze on white windows, 5 entry doors with hardware and mouldings o 9832 Jamestown St - 34 bronze on white windows, 5 entry doors with hardware and mouldings o 9856 Jamestown St - 34 bronze on white windows, 5 entry doors with hardware and mouldings o 9880 Jamestown St - 34 bronze on white windows, 5 entry doors with hardware and mouldings Question Deadline 01/13/2025 at 4:00 PM PT All bids must be accompanied by a negotiable bid guarantee which shall not be less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The Bid guarantee may be a certified check, bank draft, U.S. Government Bonds at par value, or a bid bond secured by a surety company authorized to do business in the state where the work is to be performed. Certified checks and bank drafts must be made payable to the order of Authority. The bid guarantee shall insure the execution of the contract and the furnishing of a method of assurance of completion by the successful bidder as required by solicitation. Failure to submit a bid guarantee with the bid shall result in the rejection of the bid. Bid guarantees submitted by unsuccessful bidders will be returned as soon as practicable and after the bid opening. As detailed within pertinent HUD and Federal regulations, the contractor is required to pay Davis Bacon wage rates (for all "construction contracts in excess of $2,000"). The applicable Wage Rates pertaining to the work will be provided at bid acceptance. A sample wage document will be posted with this IFB. This work will be subject to all the requirements pertaining to Davis-Bacon work, including the applicable Federal forms and procedures (i.e., on-site interviews; certified payrolls; etc.).
