Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Bedford, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The work will include implementation of erosion control, excavation and removal of organic material to the satisfaction of the Town Engineer or town designee, construction of a parking area and driveway comprised of 12 inches of compacted structural base material to 95% with modified proctor, and 8" recycled asphalt product content that can be compacted to support vehicle weight and will not rut easily, and a 24' x 6'paved entrance/exit apron. Paving would consist of 2" of 3/4 "binder, and 1" of 3/8" wearing course. The parking area is to be constructed on the Marston-Dunlap Conservation Area, which is located between 514 and 584 Wallace Road on the west side across from the Victorian home at 555 Wallace Road (see Attachment A - Location Map). The This project is funded in-part by a Recreational Trails Program grant and all work must be completed no later than May 15, 2025. All work shall be done in accordance with the contract documents and specifications prepared by the Town of Bedford, NH. Bidders must supply all the information required by the proposal forms. The Town of Bedford reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in bids received. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within sixty (60) days from bid opening The Notice-to-Proceed should be issued within five (5) days of the execution of the Agreement by the Owner. Should there be reasons why the Notice-to-Proceed cannot be issued within such period, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the Owner and Contractor. The Contractor may commence work upon written Notice-to-Proceed and may have until May 15, 2025 for completion of the Project Bidders are encouraged to submit questions via email to planning@bedfordnh.org; however, the Owner assumes no liability for ensuring accurate and complete email transmission/receipt and is not responsible to acknowledge receipt.
