Reference Number 0000389071 Job Location: 215 Rice Street, Grand Junction, CO The Facilities Department of Mesa County, Colorado is requesting competitive proposals from qualified and interested companies for all labor, equipment, and materials required to replace the fire alarm at the Mesa County Sheriff's Office and Detention Facility. Addressable fire alarm control panel. All fire alarm devices shall be replaced, smoke detectors, heat detectors, horn/strobes, module, etc. All wiring shall be replaced. Supervision of the fire sprinkler system Contractor is responsible for Fire sprinkler contractor cost. Audible or visible signaling only to those persons directly concerned with the implementation and direction of emergency action initiation and procedure in the area protected by the fire alarm system. The Detention Center is an I-3 occupancy. The residential areas require smoke detection throughout. The solenoid currently connected is Minimax MX200/MX1230. On existing locations of Pod Officers desks, manual pull stations or manual initial buttons will be provided in the guard areas. The scope of work includes the demo of the existing system, paint and patch of all demolition areas (i.e. FACP, annunciators) and blank plating of removed devices with concrete or masonry walls. All wiring shall be concealed to the extent possible. In areas where that is not possible, surface mounting is acceptable. This must be review by Mesa County's project manager prior to installation. Location of the surface mounting shall be identified on the project shop drawings
