Renovation of a municipal facility in Elyria, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
** As of 2/17/2025 this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on February 25th, 2025.** This project consists of Interior alterations in an existing office and for conducting business with the general public Lorain County Administration Building Elyria Title & Passport Office Estimated Base Bid Construction Costs: The estimated Base Bid Construction Cost for this project is: General Contract: $90,000. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond, in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bids must also be accompanied by a bid bond, issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio, certified check, cashier's check or Letter of Credit equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, or a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond, in the form found in the Project Manual, for the full amount of the bid. Completion Date: All work shall be substantially completed within timeframe as provided by Bidder on Bid Form. Contract Award: On or about Friday, February 14, 2025. Starting of Work - Time of Completion: The bidder must agree to commence work on the Project within ten (10) days after signing the contract or receipt of Letter of Intent. Rejection of Bids: The bidder acknowledges the right of the Owner to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid received. In addition, the bidder recognizes the right of the Owner to reject a bid if the bidder failed to furnish any required bid security or to submit the data required by the Bidding Documents or if the bid is in any way incomplete or irregular. Withdrawal of Bids: Bids may be withdrawn by written request signed by bidder and received from Bidder prior to time fixed for opening. If, within two (2) business days after Bids are opened, any Bidder files a Notice of a Claim of Right to Withdraw with the Owner and promptly thereafter demonstrates to the reasonable satisfaction of Owner that there was a material and substantial clerical mistake, due to an unintentional and substantial arithmetic error, or an unintentional omission of a substantial quantity of work in the preparation of its Bid, that Bidder may withdraw its Bid and the Bid security will be returned. Thereafter, that bidder will be disqualified from further bidding on the Work to be provided under the Contract Documents. If the contract(s) are to be awarded, Owner will give Successful Bidder(s) a Notice of Award within sixty (60) days after the day of the Bid opening. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities if it is deemed in the best interest of Lorain County to do so.
