Renovation of a water / sewer project in Grants Pass, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The City of Grants Pass (City) is requesting proposals to rebuild two Vertical Turbine Pumps and Motors to a remanufactured condition. The treatment facility is located at 821 SE M Street, Grants Pass, Oregon, 97526. Pumps to be rebuilt include: Influent Pump 3, a single stage, 75 hp Worthington (U.S. Electric motor), has approximately fifty feet of column, and is located within the City's Water Treatment Plant intake structure and Effluent Pump 5, a three Stage, 200 hp Worthington Pump (U.S.Electric motor), has approximately twelve feet of column, and is located within the City's Water Treatment Plant Effluent Pump Room. The City of Grants Pass reserves the right to refuse any and all submittals received and to readvertise for services. Water Treatment Plant Pump and Motor Rebuild Project Contractor hereby agrees to furnish materials, equipment, and labor necessary to perform all the work described below. Rebuild vertical turbine pumps and motors to a remanufactured condition. Provide pump and motor removal and reinstallation, start-up assistance, vibration, and performance testing, and ensure that the pumping units are complete and operable in accordance with this specification and any otherrelated documents. Guarantee the pumps and motors for a period of(1) year from date of installation. The Contractor shall provide parts, labor, tools, supplies, equipment, shipping, fees, taxes and other costs and all required service and related work to remanufacture the units. Remanufacturing the pumps will include, but is not limited to replacing impeller wear rings, bowl bearings, bowl shafts, column bearings, packing and shaft sleeves. Additional work that may be required could include replacing impellers, pump shafts and other parts. Additionally, contractor will properly prepare the units for painting and applying the protective paint coating system. Allreplaced parts must be returned to the city for disposal. Remanufacturing the motors will include, but is not limited to, replacing upper and lower bearings, dip and bake motor, rewind if needed and re-balance rotor, repaint motor to match pump column. Upon reinstallation of the units, the contractor will be responsible for starting the pump, performing vibration testing/balancing to ensure the pump operates at < 3 mils peak-topeak displacement as measured at the top of the motor and ensuring that the pump and motor perform within their rated parameters. Paint coating system shall consist of a 2-part liquid epoxy coating applied to manufacturer's specifications. Acceptable products are 3M Scotchkote 306/314, Tnemec Pota-Pox Plus, Carboline Carboguard 691, Devoe Bar-Rust 233H or approved equal. City Staff to select color should the coating be available in more than one choice. All lubricants used to assemble the pump that may come into contact with the wetted portions of the pump must be certified to ANSI/NSF-60 specifications for contact with potable water. Motor bearing oil will be Lubrication Engineers", Inc. Monolec" R&O Compressor/Turbine Oil 6403. Contractor shall guarantee the pump and motor in writing for a period of not less than one year from date of start-up. Work shall be completed within 90 calendar days after Notice to Proceed.
