construction consisting of furnishing and installing the following: o Resurfacing of approximately 14.24 centerline miles of city streets consisting of approximately 24,014 tons of Superpave Asphalt, 308 manhole adjustments and 392 water valve/test station box adjustments. o Installation of approximately 399 sidewalk access ramps. o Approximately 195,951 square yards of asphalt milling. o Installation of approximately 19,872 tons of Intermediate and/or Base Course Asphalt for pavement patching. o Furnishing and placement of thermoplastic pavement markings. o Furnishing and installation of inductive detection signal loops. o Removal and construction of approximately 5 speed humps In review of the bid, Vendors may have questions to clarify or interpret the bid to submit the best bid possible. To accommodate the bid questions, Vendors shall submit any such questions by January 19, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. The City will not entertain any further questions after the deadline. The City will answer all questions in addenda to the bid and post on the eVP website. No proposal will be considered or accepted unless at the time of its filing, the same shall be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, or certified check on a bank or trust company insured by the FDIC and authorized to do business in North Carolina in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the proposal. In the alternative, a five percent (5%) bid bond issued by a corporate surety licensed by the State of North Carolina may be filed with the proposal. Bidders must be properly licensed under Chapter 87 of the General Statutes of North Carolina and must comply with nondiscrimination provisions.
