Renovation of a detention facility in Newport, Vermont. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

The objective of this project is to provide temporary cooling, including design and construction to be implemented for the summer of 2025, and to facilitate the design and construction of the permanent air conditioning systems integration. The work will be performed at four facilities that have adaptable air distribution equipment but lack overall cooling equipment. QUESTIONS DUE BY: May 22, 2025 by 4:30 PM All communications concerning this RFP are to be addressed in writing to the State Contact listed below State Contact: James Meyers, State Senior Purchasing Agent E-Mail: BGS.OPCVendorDocs@vermont.gov The period of performance under this contract shall commence on June 13, 2025 and end on April 29, 2029. Bonding: Full bonding is required for this Project. The project estimate, which includes all pre-construction and construction services, costs and fees, General Conditions, Cost of Work, and project contingencies, is estimated to be approximately $13,500,000.00. All construction, demobilization, final performance testing, Operations and Maintenance Manuals, and Substantial Completion related to the scope of work performed by the CM must be completed by April 30, 2026 (SSCF), April 1, 2027 (NSCF), April 1, 2028 (NERCF); however, the Project Completion date is set for June 1, 2027 (SSCF), July 1, 2028 (NSCF), July 1, 2029 (NERCF) to allow for the completion of the punch list, final payments, and other administrative purposes.
