Site work and paving for a road / highway in Kent, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
This work consists Reconstruction of FULLER AVENUE from Kalamazoo Avenue to Boston Street and from Ramona Street to Adams Street AND Rotomill/Resurfacing of FULLER AVENUE from Boston Street to Ramona Street. The City's Mission Statement and Sustainability Vision Statement, defines the purpose of the Equal Business Opportunity (EBO) - Construction Policy and Administrative Guidelines (1) provide equitable access to do business with the City; (2) encourage involvement in the City's Sustainability vision; and (3) enhance the growth, development and participation of smal and emerging businesses to perform on City construction contracts. Bidders and subcontractors must comply with the City of Grand Rapids prequalification and certification requirements. The successful bidder for the above project may not discriminate against any employee or job applicant in any matter related to employment because of actual or perceived color, race, religion or creed, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genotype, age, marital status, familial status, medical condition, disability, height, weight, or source of lawful income and the successful bidder wi l be required to insert that provision in a l subcontracts relating to the project. The successful bidder wil be required to have a policy regarding Drug Free Workplace and certify to the City that this policy is in place. A certified check or bid bond for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid wil be required with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 calendar days after the date and time for receiving bids. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and al Bids; to reject the Bid of a Bidder who is not, in the opinion of the Engineer or City, in a position to perform the contract; to waive informalities, irregularities and technicalities; to reject any and a l non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced [unreasonable unit price(s)] or conditional Bids; or to advertise for new Bids. The City also reserves the right to award the Contract in the City's best interest, and therefore, may select a Bidder other than the lowest. Question Deadline 01/16/2025
