It is the responsibility of each bidder to see that they submit their bids on or before, the date and time specified for the bid opening. No bid will be accepted thereafter. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified Bid Bond for an amount equal to five per-cent (5%) of the total base bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the required Contract will be executed within fourteen (14) days after receipt of written notice of formal award of Contract.Bids not including such a bid bond will not be considered. The successful proposer must provide a Performance Bond from a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the State of South Carolina in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract amount, within fourteen (14) days the after receipt of written notice of formal award of the Contract.
