The scope of work involves furnishing all of the required labor, materials, equipment, implements, parts and supplies necessary for, or appurtenant to Elk Grove Park District Contractual Mowing Services Bid, in accordance herewith and in accordance with the plans, specifications and drawings and any authorized change orders there to which have been signed by both parties hereto, and which are hereby incorporated herein by reference. Project Location: Various Locations throughout the Elk Grove Park District All bidders must submit a Bid Bond or Cashier's or Certified Check for 10% of the total contract amount with their bid form. Performance Bond - If a Bid is accepted, a surety Performance Bond, payable to the Elk Grove Park District, in the full amount of the Bid and additionally guaranteeing the faithful performance of the prevailing wage clause shall be delivered to the Park District within 10 calendar days after Owner's acceptance of the Bid. Labor & Material Bond - If a Bid is accepted, a Labor and Materials Payment surety Bond, payable to the Elk Grove Park District, in the full amount of the contract and additionally guaranteeing the faithful performance of the prevailing wage clause shall be delivered to the Park District within ten calendar days after Owner's acceptance of Bid. All Bids Submitted will be considered firm for a period of 60 days from the bid opening date. All Bidders are required to demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Park District, that they are capable and able to complete the work as required in the specifications. Each bidder shall submit with his Bid, proof that he satisfactorily performed work of a similar nature to that specified within the preceding two years, together with the locations and the names of the responsible individuals in charge of such projects. The general prevailing rate of wages in the locality for each craft or type of worker or mechanic needed to execute the contract or perform the work, and the general prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work, as ascertained by the Park District or the Illinois Department of labor shall be paid for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract or to perform such work and it shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract is awarded and upon any subcontractor under him to pay not less than the specified rates to all laborers, workers and mechanics employed by them in the execution of the contract or such work. Certified payroll is required on this project for both general and subcontractors. The Contractor shall commence work no later than April 7, 2025, and perform all work on a regular full-time basis during weekdays until final completion of November 21, 2025. The Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formality or technicality in any Proposal in the interest of the Park District.
